Meet Nicole

Nicole is the Refinery Founder! She has been a master Esthetician for 18 years and also a hairstylist for 13 years.
What inspired you to get into the skin industry?
“I have always loved the beauty industry and am a natural care giver. I was lucky enough to graduate high school with an amazing job at the number one spa in Colorado. I went to college for nursing but after my prerequisites were done the waiting list to get into the nursing program was 3 years. I then dove into skin career and was able to flourish. I love all things about skin, hair, and spa.”
Who is your biggest inspiration?
“My husband! He is my rock and encourager. He is an amazing father and husband. He is an eternal adventurer and dreamer which makes me dream bigger than I ever thought possible. His support, advice, and guidance is something I treasure. For my biggest inspiration to also be my ride or die I know how truly blessed I am.”

What inspired you to get into the skin industry?
“I had no idea what degree I wanted to pursue in college, so I decided before my high school graduation that I would go into esthetics school to learn skincare. I never looked back! I was able to work right away and have zero debt. I’m very passionate about educating my clients and treating all skin types.”
Who is your biggest inspiration?
“My husband. He is a hero to the community and the best father to our children. After 12 years of marriage, we have weathered many storms together. He has stayed by my side, reminding me to be inspired by the things we have overcome as a family.”

Meet Ashlyn

Ashlyn is our Main Esthetician & Lash artist at our La Cantera face bar. You can also see her beautiful face in new Braunfels on Tuesdays!
What inspired you to get into the skin industry?
“For as long as I can remember I have always been into all thing’s beauty. From getting into my mom’s makeup since I could walk, to religiously wearing false lashes everyday of high school. I knew I wanted to work with others that shared the same admiration of the beauty industry. I love doing skin because of all the confidence I am able to give to my guests, and the satisfaction in teaching them to understand skincare and how to solve their skin issues. I take great pride in knowing someone can have a rough day, come get a facial with me, and leave feeling beautiful and rejuvenated.”
Who is your biggest inspiration?
“My Parents are my biggest inspiration. They’re kind, strong willed, and go getters! I admire them and their character like no other!”
When you’re not at the spa where can we find you?
“You can usually find me at the gym getting stronger, or shopping for hours… Online or in stores.”
What is your favorite Refinery service?
“The nano-needle infusion facial! I love performing this service because it’s an all-in-one treatment.”
What can we find on your beside table?
A journal to jot down anything and everything from a to-do list, or a prayer. Melatonin, to make sure that if I can’t fall asleep, I got it covered. Your body needs to sleep to heal and recover. And water… hydration is key.”
